The Journey
Provence is a landscape of extraordinary sensory richness — the scent of lavender and thyme, the sound of cicadas, the warmth of stone walls in afternoon sun. Your base is a private mas or bastide, a traditional Provençal property selected for its beauty, its grounds and its position in the landscape. From here, a small group of approximately ten guests explores the region together — markets, villages, vineyards, perfumeries, galleries and the coast — at a pace that allows genuine immersion.

What You Will Experience
The Hilltop Villages
Les Baux-de-Provence, Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes, Lacoste — each perched above the valley, each with its own character. Stone streets, artisan producers, extraordinary views.
Lavender Country
The Luberon and the Plateau de Valensole — fields of lavender stretching to the horizon in summer, the scent carried on warm air. Visits to distilleries and producers.
Provençal Markets
The great markets of Aix-en-Provence, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and the village markets of the Luberon — olives, cheese, charcuterie, flowers, fabric and the produce of the region.
Wine and Rosé
Provence produces some of the world's finest rosé. Visits to Bandol, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes de Provence estates — cellar tours, tastings and conversations with producers.
The Côte d'Azur
A day on the coast — Cassis, the Calanques, the old port of Marseille or the quieter coves of the Var. The Mediterranean at its most beautiful.
Art and Light
Cézanne's studio in Aix, the Fondation Vasarely, the Carrières de Lumières at Les Baux — the artistic heritage of a landscape that has inspired painters for two centuries.

Each journey is shaped around the season, the group and the property. This is a guide to the rhythm of the week.
Day One
Arrival & Welcome
Guests arrive at the mas or bastide. A welcome dinner on the terrace — rosé from the region, a Provençal feast, the week ahead.
Day Two
Aix-en-Provence
A morning in Aix — the great market, the cours Mirabeau, Cézanne's studio. Afternoon free in the city. Return to the property for dinner.
Day Three
The Luberon Villages
Gordes, Roussillon and the ochre cliffs of the Colorado Provençal. Lunch in a village restaurant. Afternoon in Ménerbes or Lacoste.
Day Four
Lavender & Distillery
The Plateau de Valensole or the Luberon lavender fields. Visit to a lavender distillery and perfumery. Afternoon at the property.
Day Five
Wine Country
Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Bandol — a morning among the vines, a cellar visit and tasting with the producer. Long lunch at a domaine.
Day Six
The Coast
A day on the Mediterranean — the Calanques near Cassis, the old port of Marseille or the quieter coves of the Var. Seafood by the water.
Day Seven
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue & Farewell
The antique capital of Provence — a town built on canals, famous for its Sunday market and its dealers in art, furniture and objects. Farewell dinner at the property. Final breakfast and departures by private transfer to Marseille, Avignon or onward connections.

Your Provençal Home for the Week
In the south of France, Storia Royale stays in a private mas or bastide — a traditional Provençal farmhouse or country estate, typically set among lavender, olive groves and vineyards. These are properties of genuine character: thick stone walls, terracotta floors, a pool in the garden, a terrace for long evenings. The property is exclusively yours for the week.
